I’m not sure what I’ve let myself in for, but on 28-29th June 2014 I will embark on the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation, alongside a team of 9.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, which includes traveling time between them. The three peaks are:
- Ben Nevis (1,344m)
- Scafell Pike (978m)
- Snowdon (1,085m)
The estimated walking distance is 42 kilometers (26 miles) with a total ascent of 3,000 meters.
Let the preparations begin.
